Delicious Mondays!!
Posted on Nov 24, 2008 by Andrew in Link Love .
Wow, what a week! We had a great guest interview with Mark Sisson, Ray Lampe aka Dr. BBQ (Don’t forget to enter into the giveaway if you haven’t already!!), and we got a chance to see what health and fitness bloggers around the web rock out to when they workout! But hey, enough about Go Healthy Go Fit! Let’s see what else is going on around the web, and this week it appears that taking the right attitude towards weight loss was a big theme.
A new and very cool website named after the well read author Son of Grok wrote a great article on Defeatist Attitudes!
Sticking with the attitude part of getting in shape, Rusty Moore of The Fitness Black Book wrote a great piece
on how strong motivation is more important than details.
Mike OD of The IF Life wrote a two part post, titled eating more meals does NOT speed up your metabolism, that takes on the 6 meals a day myth head on!
If you haven’t read it already, make sure to check out my guest post over at Mark’s Daily Apple that takes a look at how to stay healthy in different lifestyles!
Back to the whole concept of taking a positive attitude towards weight loss, Fitz K of That’s Fit posted a video message discussing why it’s so hard for you to lose weight and what you can do differently!
Scott Kustes of The Modern Forager wrote a great three part post on a few vitamins that don’t get quite as much ink as they deserve. Vitamin A, D, E, and K are in the spotlight!
Merry from Cranky Fitness wrote an emotionally charged article about how to deal with someone who ignores the onset of Diabetes in her post titled Diabetic? Who cares?
I would like to know what YOU found Delicious recently! Please post links (relevant to health and fitness of course) in the comments section of this post and your article could be included in next weeks edition of Delicious Mondays!!

Hi Andrew,
I have been enjoying visiting your blog. The other blogs you reference are the ones I frequent, such at Rusty Moore’s, Mike OD, and Mark Sisson. I have been experimenting with the IF method and am still finding what works. I like the concept, but the implementation is not as clear cut. The fast itself is fine, but breaking the fast and what to do with the bingeing that has taken place is the battle for me. Haven’t given up, but am finding what works.
Thanks for posting regularly. Between all those blogs, I get an interesting read. Keep up the good work.

Andrew,
Now that SOG has spoiled your smoothie fun
with no more soy,
my friend uses iced green tea for his liquid to make his smoothies. He swears by it.
Anywho, have a great day and keep up the great blog.

Miz: I know, right? She’s totally awesome!
SoG: My pleasure bud!
Ironmon: I’m glad you’re enjoying the blog! Great comment by the way. I’m in the middle of doing my hands on research for intermittent fasting, so a second post is in the works which will deal with the implementation part of IF. From what I’ve seen so far, I would just recommend measuring (or at least separating) your food out before you start eating. I never like to eat from a big container/bag of something, that leads to binging. You get used to IF after a few days and you won’t instinctively run to the “gorge mode”, but again, I will provide a more detailed post in the future for how implementation should go under IF.
Marc Feel Good Eating: If I use chocolate flavor protein powder, do you think it will still taste good? I’ll give it a try and find out!
Thanks for the comments Miz, SoG, Ironmom, and Marc Feel Good Eating!!
All the Best,
Andrew
